The ride started out with a trip through Anacostia Park and then through the Anacostia River Trail to eventually connect to the trails in Va and lead me to a small trail called the Del Ray trail. This funnels onto the Potomac Yard Trail but today I was tired and dogging it so I decided that enough was enough and headed back home after doing 14 miles. On my way home I called to have my friend meet with me at Nando's so that we could sit out, drink some sangria and eat a quick bite to eat, it was soooo the right call… As I said before, I'm committed to meeting my goal but I'm equally committed to enjoying myself and knowing when to take time to break the monotony of my rigorous biking schedule.
It's funny that I saw the sign "water is life", took the picture but ended up drinking sangria right? Well, it only seemed fitting for me, I've upped my water consumption tenfold in the past month so a glass or three of sangria was just what the doctor ordered and certainly what I needed.

Nourishing your soul is a good thing~
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Agreed Carolyn… I'm back at it today and with 80 degree weather who can blame me!
DeleteI love the fotos, Mark, especially the tunnel shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anika. There's something that draws me to tunnels for some reason...
