I Ain't No Joke… Thursday, August 21, 2014 Day 16

Today was a day unlike any other so far. I started off knowing that today was the day that I would kick it up a notch and get in my 80 mile ride. My start off was kinda sluggish, but I got into a groove at about mile 10 and picked up my pace up until around mile 28. You see, I knew that I had at least 12 more miles before my turn around point and I was out of energy and feeling a bit like turning around right then and there. Low and behold, I look up and what do I see? Sir Isaac Newton Square, I quickly thought to myself, "What comes up must come down." And took that as a sign to push to the top, after all, I had to come down in order to get back home. The small push that the universe gives you is amazing if you just open your eyes and mind and are receptive to what it puts in front of you at just the right time. Another bit of inspiration came when my Ipod got stuck on a song for about an hour, yep you guessed it, "I Ain't No Joke!" Seemed only fitting to me…
