Today is Wednesday, which means is weigh in day. Drum Roll please… There you have it after 8 days I am down a solid 10 lbs, which means now I will press even harder to meet my goal of - 45 lbs in a month. Trust me, seeing the results that I had envisioned only strengthen my resolve to get this done and pass the info on to those that are in a similar situation. I will measure my waist and post it next week, I don't want to get too big headed and mess this up, but as you can tell I'm off to a pretty good start.

After yesterday's heroics, today called for a hot bath with epson salt and an overall relaxing day. I plan on riding, but it will be 10 miles or less. See you on the other side.

I decided to go to Anacostia Park and take the 10 mile bike trail because it's flat, quite easy and kind of scenic. *Beware of the breeze coming off of the water, it will slow you down to a snail's pace on a windy day. There are quite a few sights to take in and the ride is cool. There are no big hills, but the Douglass Bridge has a gradual incline that can be challenging for the first few rides, the rest is flat. Along the way you will pass
Kingman Island, which is a restoration project that has an
eery feeling to it on an overcast day, but is otherwise harmless and makes for some great photos, especially for an urban area. Eventually it all leads back to Nat's Ball Park and a lot of great bars, restaurants and other places that make this path more than worth the ride.
